Our mission

What’s the story?

Think of what happens when you have the opportunity to really listen to someone. When you focus on what a stranger has to tell you about their experience, and you follow along with their journey as they speak. Think of how you get pulled into their version of the world, how you reach out, seeking a deeper connection. And how that connection fundamentally evolves the way you look at the world and your fellow humans in it. That, friends, is empathy in action, and it is the foundation of EQUITY.

THROUGH EQUITY, WE CAN ACHIEVE UNITY.

Our goals

01.

To achieve gender equity around the world by inspiring empathy through emotive storytelling, empowering art and disruptive technology

02.

Generate positive, impactful changes in girls’ education, foster inclusive workplaces and ignite women’s empowerment

03.

Support and embody Sustainable Development Goal #5 by recognizing the interdependency of all the Sustainable Development Goals identified by the United Nations

04.

Embolden every man, woman and child, every non-binary individual, to become the allies and role models our global village urgently needs to thrive

DO WHAT IS GUTSY.

Equity in action

Madison Avenue & Hollywood

Whether it’s the success of projects like Wonder Woman and Star Wars: The Last Jedi that were led by strong female protagonists, or the power and effectiveness of advertising campaigns like Always’ “Like a Girl” and State Farm’s “Fearless,” there is a new set of standards for incorporating social purpose in brands and franchises of all kinds.

On October 18, 2018, we will gather personalities, professionals and thought leaders from media, entertainment, advertising, corporate companies and NGOs who will examine how we are recreating storytelling in the age of #MeToo and #TimesUp. The event will be an interactive experience with leading voices in the areas of film-making, advertising, storytelling and creativity as we identify and codify the further steps we need to take toward gender equity in advertising, storytelling and beyond.

Where does it start?

EQUITY begins with stories — those who tell them and importantly those who listen.  Our inaugural event will be a panel discussion on the state of Gender Equality within two of the most influential (and influenced) industries in our culture: the TV & Movie industry and the Advertising industry.
